Offline Renegades Mastermind Preview

by Mario on January 5, 2011

Okay my fiancee didn’t like the idea of sharing the video, I’m still working on that :)

The Offline Renegades Mastermind launches tomorrow at 3pm, so check your inbox in order to take care of the shocking fast mover bonus.

Let me know what you’d like to see in a great mastermind group.

Cheers & Happy New Year,

Mario

What about you? What are your thoughts on this subject?

John January 5, 2011 at 1:56 pm

I was a member of an IM club, but was tired of seeing the fee on my cc each month when the content was just being drip fed. They had a forum, which seemed good in theory, but was not very active.

I guess it depends on the price and what is offered. A good and active forum helps…if the people are real…not pretenders.

hi Mario,
Great concept you are proposing…
here are my core criteria for looking at offline>online business:
-K.I.S.S.
-Can be easily duplicated
-Can be outsourced
-Recurring/residual income
thanks, Bob

I share the same concerns as John. I’d like to see accountability partners too along with what tools/software people are using to assist them.

Randy January 5, 2011 at 2:20 pm

Hey Mario,
I agree, this is needed. My suggestion is to make the forum free, for the first month or so (at least) to build up membership. A good example of this is John Durham’s “The Telemarketing Forum”, which started as a result of a WSO of his on offline Marketing. Then the forum can certainly be monotized while still offering plenty of free value to draw members in.

What I think we need is a great place for the exchange of ideas, to interact with each other…but focused entirely on offline, as you suggest.

Thanks, Randy

I NEED to be held accountable.

I like all of your stuff and believe that you are genuine in your mission to help others.

I have not been an action taker to date and that is the primary reason that I have not been successful to date. I have struggled and continue to struggle with procrastination and inaction daily.

I really like the idea of accountability teams or groups that you proposed in your video.

A lot of whether I will be able to join you will be what the cost will be. I am working on some personal SEO projects now to build some working capital but don’t have any “extra” money to invest in my projects today.

I’ll anxiously await your announcement tomorrow and prayerfully consider whether I can participate financially.

God bless you and your fiance.

Ken January 5, 2011 at 2:26 pm

Hi Mario,

I do not always comment when you send your emails, but I do read them. And it’s good that you’re back in action and more active.

I have thought about offline marketing for a long time. I actually do it but in a limited way. I have many years of experience and a lot of IM knowledge.

I do not have a problem talking to anyone – once I have a way to make the initial contact. That is my main problem; finding some way to get in touch with businesses. I am really not what most would consider, outgoing. lol

I mention that because I would like to see areas covered that address the primary problems we have. Perhaps it is knowledge for some and not making contacts which is the opposite of my particular challenge.

The only way any mastermind group will work is if people participate and do not give up. Also, people need to see fruits of their labor in some way to keep the motivation level high. It’s important to have a feeling that progress is being made, etc.

Congratulations on your engagement, by the way.

Best regards,

Ken

Hi Mario,

Great to see you so excited about your new project. 2011 is the year that I really wanted to explore offline marketing and am learning all I can. Off line is new to me and I am being slow to change from affiliate to offline.

For me being able to full understand each aspect is important – even being able to get answers to what may appear as stupid questions to those that know more than me.

Now what would I want? I like the ideas you had already – following along with you, being able to ask questions etc. Personally, being able to ask questions is a big plus since we will all have different levels of knowledge.

Being told the big picture – the map – steps needed. I just makes things easier to learn when we know the overall plan. Then it all broken down so that we can learn the parts we do not already know.

I had been a member of a big marketing group before – I did not like that the forums (question and answers) were no longer monitored by the original owners and left to people who seemed to be trying to sell their own stuff.

Now, of course in the past I have learned a lot from you Mario and feel that your new project will be a great success. Price will also play a big part for me.
Looking forward to finding out more.
Happy new year to you too.

Becky January 5, 2011 at 2:51 pm

Similar to John, for me it will depend on what is provided and whether or not its just another platform for a monthly pitch fest.

The real spirit of a mastermind is that all the players are accomplished in their own right and that they have something of value to share with one another. Everyone brings value and therefore, the group benefits, as a whole.

I have no problem paying someone to spearhead and organize the mastermind (because there is time required for that) but when that person (or group) feels that they have to take total responsibility for training newbies, then that is not a mastermind, in my opinion. That is a course.

I already make a full-time living with offline clients. Therefore, I’m looking for people at least as experienced as I am, but from whom I can learn new things and with whom I can share what I already know.

As John says, if the forum is active with good content, then its worth it. If not, its not!

Here’s a tough question, Mario: Why didn’t you just form your own mastermind with these other 4 folks? If you invited them in, you must think they have value to provide you. That would have been a real mastermind for you, it seems.

The profit potential of opening it up to everyone else doesn’t necessarily mean its not “clean”, but I do wonder if that doesn’t muddy the waters a bit.

Anyway, I’d like to hear your answers to these questions, since you seem to really want to help and veer away from the ever-prevalent unethical nature of IM!

Thanks,

Becky

Hi Mario,

It will be interesting to see what you have to offer. Like Becky I already make money with offline clients and don’t need a course for newbies.

I would really be interested in working with a group of people who are already working with local businesses and see what we can all come up with to increase our revenues.

It will be interesting to see how we all prospect and convert and also the monetization methods used by each of us.

Mario January 5, 2011 at 3:51 pm

Thank you guys for all the feedback, I really appreciate it. I wasn’t planning on doing it but I also like the idea of accountability teams, I’ll see how I’m going to implement it, accountability is so critical.

@Becky: Thanks for your questions Becky, they’re great. I met these guys coincidentally in a privat Skype channel that was about Google Places only, but people started to share offline knowledge in general, how to get clients, what they say, pricing and so forth and I contacted the smartest ones to be part of this new group.

The goal is to have at least 5 experts on board that are willing to share and there are going to be others joining that already have clients, and there are going to be people joining that are just starting out. My point is that we have the knowledge and I know this works because it’s working for me and I don’t have any magic powers :) .

Despite all the sales letters, it’s not easy though. Making offline work requires a lot of skills and I’m offering a platform where experienced marketers can mastermind and newbies can listen in, but where also newbies and advanced marketers can communicate and ask questions, getting them answered without being something sold again – from people who are really doing it out there.

@Steve
Yes that’s exactly what you can expect – Google Places Updates, Pricing, sales strategies, marketing strategies – let’s share ideas and experiences with each other but let’s also help struggling marketers to avoid the mistakes that we made.

That’s the vision guys and I’m committed to make it reality, with 1 member or with 100 members – doesn’t matter :)

Let me know if you have more questions, I’m here to help.

Cheers,
Mario

I think this would be a good place to do some collaborative work and JVs. Obviously some people have some skills and other people have different skills. It would be good to be able to partner with other people that have strengths that are different than our own.

Hi Mario,
This looks to be an AWESOME group & I concur with most of the previous commentators ;o)

The mix of experienced & newbies, will mean an even balance & plenty of questions, to be both asked & answered = interactive !!

Accountability is one of the main “issues” with most people needing help to focus on the main goal. A small group (or even an individual partner) can help to overcome this challenge. Many years ago I implemented this technique into my MLM team & earnings (for everyone) took off at a massive rate, accountability groups work!

The success of this MasterMind will depend on activity levels, as time goes on people find other things to do, or be part of. If there is lots of interaction, then people will stay. If minimal interaction, well …..

Looking forward to tomorrow @ 3 ….

Onwards & Upwards,

PeterC

Hi Mario

This sounds great!

One of my struggles along the way is doing everything on my own, and I’ve often thought to myself if only I had someone to bounce ideas off.

Having like minded people working together, helping each other out, I think will create synergies of awesomeness that we can all benefit from.

An example; I (like others, I’m sure) am currently working on my own website aimed at attracting offline businesses to my services, and have found it quite challenging, however have come up with some great ideas. Once completed, I would love to put it out to the group for ideas/feedback/constructive criticism, ultimately attaining a collective perfect website.

Off to get skype now

I just stumbled onto the site by accident –
you people are an inspiration to
anyone who ever wanted to make a Dollar.

I been lurking around the WF & other sites for
some considerable time. I bought & refunded all
the rubbish which is floating around on ClickBank
etc. etc

I don’t even know of what the actual cost is to join up
but somehow or other I believe that it can’t be that high
if you are really trying to help each other.
I live in New Zealand (a long shot from where
everybody else does business but I do have
some ideas of how even I could make it.

Good luck to everyone & Mario you are inspirational.
